The Role

The Events Multimedia Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and development of multimedia contents for event communication and activities. This involves designing and producing event collaterals and POSM, both in print and digital media to support the advertisement of RMIT university events and the delivery of contents for specific event activities. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to deliver creative and fresh ideas while staying aligned with RMIT ‘s brand guidelines and show great attention to details.

Your Responsibilities

Graphic design
Initiate the creation of event key visuals through the process of brainstorming, researching, and conceptualising ideas.

  • Create designs for a variety of event POSM such as banners and posters, photo backdrops, merchandise, printing materials, infographics, digital displays, digital materials used in event communication.
  • Perform basic 3D design for POSM mock-ups.
  • Coordinate with Event Specialists and production houses or suppliers for the production of event POSM.
  • Ensure graphics and layouts are visually appealing, clean, and on-brand, and post-production items match with design intention.

Multimedia design & production
Collaborate with team members to develop multimedia content ideas.

  • Produce multimedia content in various formats, including, but not limited to animation, motion graphics, short videos, slideshows and PowerPoints.
  • Lead all stages of multimedia content production from creative conception, planning, pre-production (including taking photography shoots and filming short footages as part of event contents), production and post-production.
  • Coordinate with Event Specialists and production houses to produce event highlights/recap videos for large scale university events.

Other tasks and duties

  • Maintain archives of all artwork files, design assets, raw footages, and photos of post-production items for reference.
  • Support other event-related activities as required

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an education, marketing or service-based industry
  • A portfolio of graphic/multimedia work containing items produced solely by the applicant (or where the applicant was the leader of the production team) which evidences a high level of ability to apply design and multimedia production skills to satisfy communications needs.
  • Strong visual composition and story-telling skills, fresh and creative ideas, and ability to present concepts verbally.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, attentive to details, and able to handle multiple projects.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Vietnamese
  • Able to solve problems and work under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and InDesign; and digital audio and video hardware including portable and studio-based systems.
  • Candidates with basic 3D design skills have an advantage.
  • Awareness of international copyright.
