  • Base Salary $97,975 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

We are in a period of significant change and investment within our HR function, striving to achieve a contemporary and integrated service offering in line with the university’s strategic plan. As a result, we are seeking a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant to join the Organisational Development team. Deploying your subject matter expertise, you will play a key role in championing, designing and implementing strategic D&I focused projects and initiatives throughout the university. In this role, you will apply leading practice in D&I and contemporary research to deliver high impact capability solutions.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work collaboratively with your HR colleagues to define business needs, source and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions to build individual, team and organisational capability in diversity & inclusion
  • partner with other areas of the university, including Culture Strategy, SAGE team, DVC-ISS, NCCC, employee networks and others, in order to deliver joint initiatives and programs
  • support the development of evidence-based frameworks, capability, systems, guides and tools in order to contribute to driving a more inclusive and diverse workforce 
  • conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis to present meaningful insights and recommendations to various stakeholder groups
  • monitor process performance in relation to diversity outcomes and drive continuous improvement processes.

About you

  • proactive consultation with leaders, delivering creative and contemporary diversity and inclusion projects within a multidisciplinary, complex organisation
  • subject matter knowledge of, and experience in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, gender equity, LGBQI inclusion, disability inclusion and cultural diversity
  • experience in the development and successful delivery of organisation-wide D&I strategies and policies
  • highly developed relationship management skills as you will be managing a complex client base and collaborating with senior leaders, other HR Centres of Expertise and internal stakeholders
  • outstanding presentation, communication and influencing skills to deliver messaging on a variety of channels to varied audiences
  • flexibility in their organisation and planning skills in order to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast paced, time pressured environment.
