This is a fantastic opportunity be part of the Defence Trailblazer for Concept to Sovereign Capability - a collaborative partnership between the University of Adelaide and UNSW.

The Defence Trailblazer Partnerships Team are seeking an experienced and adaptable Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator to assist the delivery of all things marketing for the Defence Trailblazer program.

Reporting to the experienced Senior Partnerships Manager, this is an exciting role where no two days are the same. The successful individual will be a real team player, bringing their significant digital and events experience and “can-do” attitude to this high energy team. This role works closely with the Partnerships Manager, based in Adelaide and the Communications and Event Coordinator, based in Sydney.

The Defence Trailblazer team is based at University of Adelaide and UNSW (Sydney and Canberra) offices, the successful individual will be an outstanding collaborator and comfortable in connecting with internal and external stakeholders online, working closely together to manage a broad range of marketing, communication, and engagement activities for Defence Trailblazer.
The exciting calendar of events for 2024 are well and truly underway!

Ad-hoc interstate travel and some reasonable of out-of-work hours for events will be required for this role.

To be successful you will need:

  • Significant experience in planning, creating content and delivering digital communications including:
    • social media
    • websites
    • e-newsletters
    • digital advertising
    • videos
    • podcasts
  • Proven track record in the delivery and management of events and projects with varying complexity.
  • Experience in supporting marketing campaigns involving advertising, public relations and digital content.
  • Demonstrated ability in analysing and evaluating digital communication data to identify opportunities for improvement and develop plans to implement change.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to negotiate and influence to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly, proactively, and effectively as part of a team while operating autonomously and independently.

Qualifications:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
