  • Base Salary range $117,116 to $132,079 + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity 

The role of the Digital Asset Manager Librarian is to own the strategy and framework for storing, organising, protecting, and distributing digital assets within the University’s enterprise content management system. This role is pivotal in implementing the Digital Asset Management strategy, but also ensuring the strategy evolves over time to keep pace with changing needs and asset types.

Working initially within the Web Uplift project team, the DAM Librarian will implement identified improvements to the DAM, formalise governance frameworks and develop clear training and documentation to support the community of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) DAM users. This work is a foundational part of an integrated uplift in performance, optimisation, and personalisation across the University websites.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • continually optimise, structure and manage assets to ensure effective search and retrieval

  • maintain and build on taxonomies and meta data schemas that are optimised for the organisation type, including products and services

  • maintain the AEM Tagging strategy and frameworks, periodically generating and reviewing assets report/s to check for tagging and folder placement

  • keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital asset management.

About you

  • an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience in information management

  • experience working in a large, complex organisation

  • experience with content management systems with sound experience in defining, managing and cataloguing information assets

  • proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
