About the opportunity
The role of the Digital Asset Manager Librarian is to own the strategy and framework for storing, organising, protecting, and distributing digital assets within the University’s enterprise content management system. This role is pivotal in implementing the Digital Asset Management strategy, but also ensuring the strategy evolves over time to keep pace with changing needs and asset types.
Working initially within the Web Uplift project team, the DAM Librarian will implement identified improvements to the DAM, formalise governance frameworks and develop clear training and documentation to support the community of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) DAM users. Your key responsibilities will be to:
continually optimise, structure and manage assets to ensure effective search and retrieval
maintain and build on taxonomies and meta data schemas that are optimised for the organisation type, including products and services
maintain the AEM Tagging strategy and frameworks, periodically generating and reviewing assets report/s to check for tagging and folder placement
keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital asset management.
About you
an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience in information management
experience working in a large, complex organisation
experience with content management systems with sound experience in defining, managing and cataloguing information assets
proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
