(HE06) $82,879 to $89,525 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term, part time position (0.6FTE) available for 12 months.

The Database Developer will contribute to the design, development and implementation of data management systems for large clinical research projects undertaken within the Lifelong Health Research Group.

In maintaining the data management systems, the Database Developer will contribute to critical data monitoring, quality control and study organisation to facilitate data analysis and publication of clinically relevant research findings in the field of pregnancy and early childhood health. 

Led by Professor Jodie Dodd, the Lifelong Health Research Group strives to ensure that care for women and their infants is effective, and that treatment benefits outweigh harms.  The Group has led pivotal randomised controlled trials involving pregnant women, investigating interventions to reduce the risk of adverse pregnancy and infant outcomes.

The Database Developer will work closely with the Clinical Trial Managers, Data Manager and Research team, requiring excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

To be successful you will need:

  • A degree (Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Sciences) with at least two years subsequent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT, including data management systems development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work collegially as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work and work independently as appropriate.
  • Understanding of health sciences and/or clinical research operations (desirable).
