  • Full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed term contract until 31 December 2024 based in UniSA Education Futures at the City West campus
  • Starting salary: $70,476 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role 

You will undertake programming and related software development activities associated with the Data for AI Research (DAIR) infrastructure and the experimental learning research environment (LIFT) in the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L). You will support and contribute to the design, development, implementation of procedure to enable data extraction, processing, and analysis, prepare data visualisation and develop AI models and machine learning techniques to support C3L research. You will gather requirements, prototype solutions, design, develop, test, review and implement AI-based systems and data analytics solutions required for C3L projects.

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (usually a bachelor’s or master’s degree), or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, significant experience and skills as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Experience in the use of Python and R programming languages for processing educational data 
  • Experience with data visualisation software packages and business intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Amazon Quicksight) in developing analytics solutions
  • Experience in the development of cloud infrastructure (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure) 
  • Experience with modern software development tools for version control and continuous integration
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including experience in priority setting, the ability to perform multiple tasks, to work productively with limited supervision and within a team environment, and to work to deadlines
