Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI) is the English pathway provider that prepares international students to progress to undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Deakin University. At DUELI, we welcome students from all over the world for nine intakes a year.

The DUELI Customer Service Officer is the first point of contact at DUELI. This position provides high-level administrative and customer service support that contributes to the effective implementation of administrative processes in DUELI and the accurate and timely provision of information to clients.

As a DUELI Customer Service Officer, you will:

  • Manage customer inquiries (face to face, telephone, and email) and ensure that professional and timely services to clients are being always delivered. This includes investigate, resolve, and respond to a diverse range of inquiries in relation to courses, admissions, enrolments, and other administrative services.
  • Maintain student records across a number of student management databases that support DUELI’s daily operation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the student enrolment cycle to ensure that all student administration tasks are being executed according to the strict five-week intake schedule.
  • In collaboration with DUELI Student Support team, coordinate the administrative aspects of DUELI Orientation.
  • Administer DUELI placement test in accordance with the DUELI placement test procedures.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Completion of a Diploma level qualifications with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post- certificate relevant work experience.
  • Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or Completion of a Post-Trades Certificate or Advanced Certificate and extensive relevant experience as a Technician

Experience in MS Office products, email applications and databases

  • Relevant experience in a customer service position within a large organisation or education environment in a multicultural setting
