Fixed term, full-time opportunity available for two years.

Integral role for the assessment of undergraduate admissions at the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with demonstrated supervisory skills and a knowledge of the tertiary sector, to lead a dedicated team of assessment specialists and help guide and support admission to tertiary studies. 

Working under limited direction Coordinator, Undergraduate oversees the assessment and processing of applications received by SATAC for admission to undergraduate courses offered by SATAC’s participating institutions.  

The role is SATAC’s primary contact for undergraduate admissions for internal and external stakeholders and is relied upon as an industry expert with up-to-date knowledge of best practice and emerging policy in the undergraduate admissions sector. The role works closely with the Customer Engagement and Success management team, other Coordinators and Leads to ensure appropriate staffing levels and training of assessment staff. This role also collaborates with stakeholders and the Manager, Shared Application Services to set application key dates, plan for periods of peak application volume and to consider potential improvements to selection rules and assessment methods. 

To be successful you will need:  

  • Proven ability to use and adapt to a variety of computer software packages and systems. 
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the tertiary education sector, especially in relation to undergraduate admissions. 
  • Proven experience in the supervision of a team including managing daily tasks and objectives. 
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and confidentiality. 
  • Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer focus and key stakeholder engagement.

SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of its members and participating fee for service institutions, as well as administering admissions aptitude tests, providing publication and research services, and acting as a one-stop shop for queries regarding application processes and outcomes.
