About the role 

We are seeking a Content Coordinator to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of Adelaide and be based in the Intergration Management Office (IMO) in the Market & Partner Engagement (M&PE) Domain. The domain is responsible for attracting expanded student cohorts from diverse markets, channels, and offerings, and develop and transition a coordinated and integrated marketing, recruitment, communication and engagement plan for Adelaide University’s (AU) Go to Market (15 July 24) , Day 1 2026 and beyond. In addition to key brand, marketing, recruitment and communication activities, the Domain oversees the development of a robust set of plans to support partner and stakeholder engagement across various markets and audiences. 

As the Content Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the scoping, development, and successful delivery of marketing and communications content related to the creation of the new Adelaide University. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams both within The University of South Australia (UniSA) and The University of Adelaide (UoA), developing and executing content assets relating to the communication of Adelaide University with a key focus on Go to Market July 2024 deliverables. 

Core Responsibilities  

  • Write, edit and produce high quality content that is accessible, compelling, engaging and on brand, that is audience focused and fit for the intended channel 
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Content producers for editing and review of developed content 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and working groups to define content and channel scopes, objectives, and deliverables 
  • Develop and deliver content for the new Adelaide University website as defined by the information architecture and draft site plans 

Essential requirements  

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications together with extensive experience in marketing, communications, professional writing, journalism, digital or a related discipline, along with experience in a comparable role in a complex organisation
  • Expert comprehension, editing and writing skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate it in a way that is accessible, engaging, optimised and appropriate for different audiences 
  • High-level skills in sourcing content across a variety of digital formats, write and edit for the web and digital channels, so that content is accurate, engaging and optimised for the user experience and search engines 
  • Experience in leading and motivating content production and design staff, ensuring their output is efficient and accurate
