About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled analyst to join our Office for Research Ethics and Integrity (OREI) as a Compliance Reporting Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the University's compliance with regulatory obligations related to Clinical Trials, Gene Technology & Biorisk Management, International Safeguards, and Animal Care & Use. By developing analytic models and tailoring data extracts, reports, and analysis for different stakeholders, you will support risk identification, trend analysis, and continuous improvement. This role contributes to the overall effectiveness of the Research Governance team and emphasizes service excellence and quality assurance within the University.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide expert advice and support regarding data and reporting across a range of programs and systems;
• Develop graphs, infographics and other visual presentations of data to succinctly depict trends, emerging risks and areas of improvement;
• Assist with drafting of reports, entering information into systems and maintaining records to a high standard; and
• Implement administrative aspects of quality assurance and compliance programs, and accurately generate and record data sets arising from this activity.

Who we are looking for
You will have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and prioritisation skills developed through experience in administrative and/or data-oriented roles. As an adept communicator, you understand how to capture, organise and prepare data in a digestible format and your high level of initiative allows you to operate effectively in a complex environment. You will further bring to this role your collaborative, can-do attitude, and eagerness to learn and develop.

You will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and relevant experience in supporting research or other activity involving the generation and presentation of data.
• Ability to accurately collect, record and engage with data, and present data visually in digested and meaningful ways to facilitate the identification of trends or progress;
• Ability to assist in the provision of insights to key stakeholders and decision-makers using data storytelling techniques so that patterns, trends, and outliers can be seen and easily understood.
• Demonstrated report creation skills using Power BI or an equivocal product. 
• Experience in administration and support.
