  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About You

As the Communications Coordinator, you will be supporting the Senior Communications Business Partner, Education to deliver best practice communications to students, teaching staff and the Education Portfolio.

You will be responsible for supporting the communication of relevant and timely information to students and staff through the creation of engaging written and visual content delivered through digital channels that enhance the student and staff experience at RMIT.

To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:

  • A Communications / PR undergraduate degree or equivalent.

  • Experience creating content for social media and other digital channels including photography, video production, designing with Canva.

  • Experience with building and sending EDMs and web publishing would be advantageous.

  • Strong professional writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to write for different audiences and channels.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.

About the Portfolio

The University Communications team is part of the International and Engagement Portfolio, which is responsible for RMIT’s international strategy and agenda, including international development and partnerships and oversight of our international operations including RMIT Vietnam and RMIT Europe. It also incorporates the University’s key engagement functions including communications, experience (global marketing, global student recruitment, alumni), and business development and partnerships.
