Overview
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is looking to recruit a Clinical Skills and Simulation Facilitator who will be responsible for providing support and education to staff and students in simulated and clinical settings, participate in the delivery of low-high fidelity simulation activities, and facilitate the implementation of clinical programs and strategic initiatives of the SNM. The Clinical Skills and Simulation Facilitator is a leader who works collaboratively with academic, professional and sessional staff to support the nursing practice development of entry-to-practice nursing students.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse, have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and have the following experience:

• Broad based recent clinical experience (including in an acute hospital setting)
• Knowledge of 3G simulation equipment and experience with simulating scenarios using technology
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the facilitation, delivery and implementation of clinical education programs and relevant experience facilitating skills development to others, including an understanding of cultural learning differences and an ability to adapt to different learning styles
• Experience in the assessment and remediation of students nursing practice in simulated and clinical settings
• Ability to identify, build and maintain formal and informal relationships and partnerships
• The ability to develop and implement realistic project plans in response to the organisations’ needs.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time ongoing position attracts remuneration of $90,220 - $101,090 pa per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
