  • Four roles available, based across four locations, St Vincent’s, Prince of Wales, Liverpool and John Hunter Hospitals    

  • Base hourly rate from $40 per hour + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

The Sydney Pharmacy School is seeking to appoint four Research Assistants with a focus on medication safety. You will be available to work two days per week and be available to work at one of four hospital locations, St Vincent’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Liverpool Hospital or John Hunter Hospital. 

You will be responsible for performing general and research administrative duties to support the research team under the direction of the Project Manager. You will complete various tasks such as patient recruitment in the osteoporosis refracture prevention clinic.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work collaboratively within a team, performing fundamental aspects of research tasks and providing technical and operational support including patient recruitment to trial

  • perform general and research administrative duties to support the Research team under the direction of the Project Manager including gathering patient baseline data from various sources, documenting a best possible medication history and liaising with health care professionals at the clinic site and in the community

  • complete various tasks such as preparation of research documents, maintaining records, data entry, and data analysis.

About you

  • you will have relevant qualifications and experience in pharmacy, nursing or medicine

  • you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible

  • if you would prefer the location of St Vincent Hospital you must be available Tuesdays, the second day will be confirmed

  • if you would prefer the location of Prince of Wales Hospital you must be available on Thursdays, the second day will be confirmed

  • if you would prefer the location of Liverpool Hospital you must be available on Mondays and Thursdays

  • if you would prefer the location of John Hunter hospital you must be available on Wednesdays, the second day will be confirmed.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
