Seeking enthusiastic and interested lecturer/tutor with understanding of enabling education.

University Preparatory Program (UPP)

The University Preparatory Program (UPP) is a tuition-free program for students who require further academic and discipline specific preparation before commencing a bachelor degree. Our students are incredibly diverse and include domestic low SES, EALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, ex-professionals looking for a career change, as well as recent school leavers. As an enabling education program, UPP provides avenues into higher education for students from non-traditional avenues. This program enables students to become acculturated with the expectations and practices of studying at university, ensuring they are well suited to enter a bachelor’s degree successfully. Commencing in 2012, the UPP has continued to grow and the program offers students the opportunity to receive holistic preparation to commence their university studies.

This role would suit qualified and experienced teachers or lecturers looking to commence or continue working in the higher education sector and have a key understanding of, and have a passion for, enabling education, widening participation, and access to educational opportunities for all students.
