The School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering invites applications for Casual Lecturer positions to be filled for Semester 2, 2024.

The salary for these roles ranges from $51.33 to $71.28 per hour, contingent upon qualifications and duties, with an additional employer contribution of 10.5% towards superannuation.

Ideal candidates will possess expertise in Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities for each position include conducting lectures and workshops for a designated course. The teaching period spans from July to December 2024 and will be situated at our North Terrace Campus.

Reporting to the Associate Head of Learning and Teaching (Operations), successful candidates will be tasked with delivering the following courses during Semester 2, 2024:

To be successful you will need:

  • PhD or Masters Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the subject matter.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver student centred learning and teaching activities at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity, diversion and inclusion.
