Overview:


SUMMARY  


The College of Design and Social Context (DSC) is seeking a Casual Events Officer to support in the planning and execution of Research events including: research conferences, symposia, industry research events, and research planning activities.  


Our ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and collaboration skills across a range of internal and external stakeholders.  


This is a hydrid role with both work on Campus in the CBD as well as aspects from home.  


 


KEY RESPONSILIBITIES  


  • Supporting the College of Design and Social Context’s (DSC) Research Events with high quality event planning and delivery support 

  • Booking of research events including: event venues, guests and their travel, catering.  

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of event marketing materials and the collation of feedback from events.  

  • Implement systems for management of research events, resources, and day to day operations. 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge pertaining to the University and College research activities, policies and current projects
