About the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences

The Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences is one of six schools within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. About the Role

The Hub Coordinator position will assist Professor Kim Felmingham with the organisation and operations of the Brain and Mental Health Hub (BAMH) within the School and will work with both the BAMH team and the School and at the School’s Psychology Clinic.

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Facilitate the collection of data from the MSPS Psychology Clinic, liaise with clinical staff to ensure accurate data collection, manage the databank using Qualtrics, Excel, and Statistics Packages (e.g., R, SPSS, JASP, SAS, etc.).
  • Provide qualitative/quantitative updates to the core team about the databank
  • Regularly liaise with staff and students regarding their needs within the Hub (e.g., equipment, room bookings, available grant applications, draft submission dates and more)
  • Organise and coordinate regular Hub meetings and events, including guest speakers, internal staff speakers, social events, and more

About You

You have excellent communication skills that allow you to effectively collaborate and engage with colleagues and students. You will also have excellent organisational and time management abilities that are key to succeed in this role.

Ideally, you will further have:

  • PhD, substantial progress towards PhD or Honours/master’s degree in relevant area
  • Demonstrated ability to apply research methods and quantitative/qualitative data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to independent and team-based research in clinical translational activities
