About the Role

The Associate Lecturer will contribute to the teaching, scholarship, research and industry engagement efforts of the School in the Discipline of Pharmacy. More specifically, you will be responsible for activities in an area related to your expertise in the undergraduate program and primarily will have oversight of the clinical placement component of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) program.  You may be required to assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with courses.

You will maintain and continue to advance your scholarly, professional and/or research capabilities. You will also be expected to actively promote the pharmacy program by establishing and maintaining industry engagement, memberships, links and partnerships with academic, and professional communities.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and teaching programs at undergraduate and/or post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
  • Emerging track record and/or recognition within their discipline or professional area evidenced by industry links or engagement, partnerships, or research excellence.
  • Ability to build effective networks with colleagues in both community and hospital pharmacy and external agencies to generate clinical placements for RMIT students.
  • Demonstrated 5 years or more relevant experience in pharmacy, and experience with pharmacy student clinical placement coordination.

Qualifications:

Mandatory: Qualification in the relevant discipline area.

Desirable: Ahpra registration

About the School

The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences comprises three Academic areas (Allied Health, Applied Health, and Biomedical Sciences).  Primarily based at the RMIT Bundoora campus, we undertake teaching and research across nine disciplines: Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic, Human Biosciences, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Radiations, Nursing, Osteopathy, Pharmacy and Psychology.  Many of our programs include Work Integrated Learning as an intrinsic part of student learning, both through placements in partner industries and through the University’s student led Health Sciences Clinic located at Bundoora.
