The University of Western Australia (UWA) is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world and a member of the prestigious Australian Group of Eight research intensive universities. 

The SKA Observatory (SKAO) is an intergovernmental organisation tasked with building and operating the world’s largest radio telescopes. In order to fully exploit the scientific output of the immense amount of data flowing from the telescopes, the SKAO is working with science communities across the world through SKA Regional Centres (SRCs). The AusSRC is Australia’s portion of this international network.

About the opportunity

You will take a lead role in driving the SRCNet program towards achieving its strategic vision. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with other members of the SRCNet program lead team to develop and maintain the near and longer-term roadmaps for SRC software development products. This will involve understanding how different products fit together and demonstrating leadership in supporting discussions with stakeholders about overall prioritisation of products and ensuring that the SAFe® teams deliver value to the SRCNet project by specifying and prioritising features and capabilities.

You will be coordinating with Australasian and international stakeholders and development teams, providing expertise and guidance to those teams in the domain of high-performance data processing software, web interfaces, authorisation token flows, archival data discovery, federated execution, and the analysis workflows that users will want to deploy.
