JOB SUMMARY:

The IOP Program Manager performs moderately complete managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Program.   Work involves planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating the program, developing policy and procedures to meet regulatory guidelines and rules. Also develops program schedule, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals. Plans, assigns and supervises the work of others.  Assists with curriculum development as directed.  Ensures that accurate records of attendance are maintained. 


 
 
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
  • Manages activities of staff in the IOP, which includes recruiting, interviewing, and selecting staff for the outpatient program to foster and maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and audits.
  • Establishes goals and objectives; develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals and manages evaluation activities.
  • Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures; and monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations.
  • May manage staff development plans and activities.
  • Monitors and adheres to the program budget and provide variance information as needed.
  • Ability to continue programmatic activities in the absence of staff.
  • Completes all required daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on time and with accuracy.
  • Ensures continuity of nursing care based upon the knowledge of clinical nursing needs and the patient’s individual recovery plans.  Supervises all nursing activities related to patient care and sets guidelines for accurate reporting and recording of the patient’s symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills in all aspects of the position.
  • Monitors the Multidisciplinary Team Meetings to ensure appropriate planning for treatment of patients is occurring and that all members of the team (including patient and significant others) have an opportunity to participate in the process.
  • Responsible for staff competency training and scheduling inservices.
  • Monitors and supervises ordering of supplies and equipment for the program to run efficiently.
  • Assists the Community Educator as needed to maintain a steady referral base.
  • Perform other duties assigned.


Qualifications

 
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of two years experience in the behavioral health field. 
  • Master’s degree in psychology or social work.
  • Licensed in the State of Texas to practice psychology or social work.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Maintain current AHA Heartsaver CPR certification. 
  • Current SAMA training preferred at hire
  • Knowledge of computer software, i.e., Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, etc.
