Position Description:
UCLA College is the academic heart of UCLA, one that is home to more than 80 percent of the university's undergraduate students. Through their research and teaching, the renowned faculty of the College's five divisions of Humanities, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences and Undergraduate Education create and disseminate big ideas that shape our lives. As the Senior Director of Donor Engagement, Budget and Operations for UCLA College Development, you will play an integral role in the delivering the highest level of service to our donors as well as ensuring the proper management of the team's financial and operational resources. Your strategic, analytical and engagement abilities will further the mission and philanthropic goals of UCLA College and our College Development unit. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for UCLA College Development and Individual Giving, as the Senior Director, Donor Engagement, Budget and Operations, you will manage UCLA College Development's financial and office operations and will supervise comprehensive, College-wide stewardship and events staff. Budgetary and operations based responsibilities of this role include developing, managing and reporting on the department's annual operating budget, providing analysis of finances and operations and ensuring accuracy of programs, personnel/staffing and other office needs. You will review and introduce new processes and systems and improve existing operations to promote efficiency and increased productivity. As the Senior Director, you will serve in business partnership with other External Affairs units and work closely with the AVC on College-wide special projects with a focus on setting strategy, execution of development initiatives and administrative oversight.
As part of supervising and managing the College's stewardship and events teams, you will collaborate with divisional Directors of Development and work closely with External Affairs' Office of Donor Engagement to maintain consistency and best practices for the successful design, production, delivery and tracking of a wide variety of materials, plans and events. As the Senior Director, you will guide and support staff by communicating programmatic goals and activities to Development colleagues and College leadership and by developing strategies and resources to facilitate relationships and maximize the exposure of the College to its constituents. You will analyze effectiveness of stewardship, events and communications programs, expanding their depth and impact of outcomes to enhance donors' relationships with the College and increase the likelihood of their continued contributions.

Special Instructions:
The budgeted hiring salary/target range for this position is the posted minimum to $9,583.33 monthly, with salary placement based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
