Reporting to the Assistant Director, Faculty Practice Group Decision Support Services, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Data Architecture team. This will involve leading the integration and publishing of current and legacy sources of Medicare Advantage, managed care, clinical, revenue cycle, and other health system data into the Decision Support Data Warehouse and other data containers in support of strategic initiatives and customer use cases. You will use your technical expertise and deep knowledge of health system data to facilitate and guide the team to use appropriate data and toolsets to build solutions. You will ensure adherence to technical and data governance standards to ensure data is integrated and harmonized using appropriate master data, metadata, terminology, and standardized code sets. Salary Range: $105,200 – $250,600 Annually



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

We’re seeking a self-motivated, customer-oriented, deadline-driven individual with: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience required * Seven or more years of experience in business intelligence/data warehousing * Seven or more years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle * Four or more years of experience with ETL tools and reporting tools * Four or more years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, and reporting * Two or more years of healthcare data experience in hospital operations, clinical, revenue cycle, or other area * Expertise with Microsoft SharePoint Technology, Microsoft Azure, OLTP systems, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart * Background in database development, data modeling, performance optimization, and tuning * Databricks knowledge is a plus * Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills * Ability to provide technical thought leadership * Flexible and adaptable with a strong sense of urgency * Extensive healthcare industry knowledge, including Medicare Advantage, professional billing, and data analysis * Ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and other financial reporting UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and more than 270 community clinics throughout Southern California.
