Description

 

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Health Professions Research Collaborative, is seeking a Researcher IV to join our team and serve as the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) Evaluation Coordinator.

General Responsibilities

  • Working with a high degree of independence: 
  • To manage and track the day-to-day evaluation activities within NCHPAD guided by NCHPAD Evaluation and Performance Measurement Team (EPMT).
  • To assist with development and implementation of data collection and program evaluation procedures, maintain records, track data collection and evaluation milestones, and provide regular updates on the evaluation status to NCHPAD EPMT and leadership.
  • The position will also involve coordinating evaluation activities and communications across various NCHPAD partners and collaborators. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Serves as the NCHPAD evaluation coordinator and manages the day-to-day evaluation activities within NCHPAD.
  • Assists NCHPAD EPMT with development and implementation of data collection and evaluation procedures as well as ensures continued improvement of the procedural efficiency.
  • Serves as a liaison between NCHPAD and its partners and collaborators to facilitate evaluation activities and communications across all organizations.
  • Tracks data collection and evaluation milestones and maintains records according to protocol.
  • Provides regular updates on evaluation performance and progress to NCHPAD EPMT and leadership.
  • Assists with preparation, submission, and maintenance of multiple levels of evaluation documentation (e.g., meeting minutes, monthly reports, annual reports). 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Annual Salary Range         $47,486.40 - $77,000.00           

     

    Qualifications

     
    • Doctorate in a related field
    • OR Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
    • OR Bachelor’s degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience
    • OR Associate's degree in related field and six (6) years of related experience

    Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

    Key Skills

    • Strong writing skills.
    • Experience and/or training in program evaluation and project management.
    • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
    • Experience with scientific research methods, IRB/ethical research, and research protocol.
    • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
    • Experience with literature review.
    • Experience preparing, presenting, and publishing scientific results.
