Job Summary

Position work days and hours is Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  The Radiology Technologist is a California licensed technologist who performs diagnostic imaging procedures to include portables, OR, emergency room and fluoroscopy.  This position supports the Urology Procedure Center and Bay Front Urology. The position processes images on appropriate archival systems.  Participates in performance  improvement activities in Urology. 

The position demonstrates excellent customer service to patients and staff team.  Correctly identifies patients for the procedures performed.  Adheres to  Infection Control policies, radiation policies and good body mechanics. Maintains appropriate continuing education credits.  Position requires CRT and California fluoroscopy license.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
  • Require CRT
  • Require CRT Fluoroscopy License
  • Require BLS (CPR) Certification
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer ARRT
  • Prefer recent work experience in an acute care setting.

License/Certification

  • Require CRT
  • Require CRT Fluoroscopy License
  • Require BLS (CPR) Certification
