The award-winning College of Fine Arts and Communications External Relations team promotes awards and achievements, all of the event press releases, assists in arts promotion for the performing arts, creates and supports all websites, works on campaigns relating to the college and university and assists the college¿s dean. The team also manages and oversees the college's social media pages, as well as the School of Communications, Department of Dance, Department of Theatre and Media Arts and the School of Music social media accounts.

Project Supervisor

Gain experience in a PR agency in a university setting. Report to Communications Manager and serve office-wide needs. Duties may include supervising projects like digital hygiene, monthly analytics and reports, hiring and training, campaigns and offering excess support when needed. 

 

What you¿ll do in this position

  • Oversee digital practices, needs and trainings
  • Track analytics and contribute to monthly reports
  • Create training folders, documents, presentations, templates and schedules 
  • Assist with meetings and office management
  • Coordinate CFAC external communications
  • CFAC campaigns support: 
    • Updating templates
    • Assisting in presentations
    • Provide support and organization assistance on basecamp
  • Strengthen office knowledge and utilization of Basecamp
  • Assist the Communications Manager with various projects 
     

 

What qualifies you for this role: 

Required 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Education and/or Experience 
  • Related Experience 

Preferred

  • Project management skills
  • Excellent time management
  • History of meeting deadlines
  • Well-developed organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work well with others and feel comfortable speaking in front of a group
  • Knowledge of AP style
  • Proficient in database and spreadsheet software use (Word, Excel, Google Drive)
  • Experience working with email newsletter programs, specifically MailChimp

 

Skills, abilities, knowledge:

  • Public relations writing experience
  • Experience creating graphics/images for social media posts
  • Experience with project management tools (Slack, Basecamp, etc.)
