Job Description


The W. P. Carey School of Business is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual who can manage and complete multiple tasks and priorities for our Center for AI and Data Analytics (AIDA) for Business and Society, our Principled Innovation (PI) Initiatives and our Experiential Learning Initiatives within the School.  This position will work closely and collaboratively with our Dean’s Office, AIDA and PI Directors, faculty, staff, and corporate partners to plan, direct, organize, and execute center and program projects and initiatives.

Essential Duties

  • Help create and manage the AIDA center and PI Initiative’s materials, program content, workshops, meetings and conferences with program participants including overseeing logistics, scheduling and target audience communications.  
  • Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to effectively manage day-to-day activities of the center, PI initiatives and Experiential Learning Initiatives.
  • Responsible for data collection and reporting activities that inform decisions to maximize program outcomes. 
  • Manage and participate in outreach with industry partners to grow center membership and partnerships and programs.
  • Complete and manage projects for Dean’s Office and Center for Entrepreneurship Principled innovation College Catalysts (including student competitions)
  • Help to design and facilitate trainings and workshops that advance Principled Innovation at W. P. Carey for students, staff, and faculty
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with external organizations, including businesses, non-profits, government agencies, and community groups, to provide diverse experiential learning opportunities.
  • Maintain agreements, contracts, and memorandum of understanding (MOUs) with partners to formalize program and project goals and data to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes within the experiential learning initiative.
  • Attend other PI related events across ASU to learn more about the design aspiration and to help advance the programmatic efforts at W. P. Carey within AIDA and across the school.
  • Responds to all inquiries regarding program interest and status.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals for continued funding; acts as the liaison with current funding source.
  • Prepare and maintain all status reports including milestones/deliverables, outreach activities, program progression. 
  • Build, develop, and maintain collaborative working relationships with center team, partners and faculty vital to program and initiative success. 
  • Proactively identifies, develops and deploys solutions to improve effectiveness of project operations. 
  • Utilize knowledge of program purpose and scope in decision making and risk assessment, understanding impact on outcomes/success. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field AND five years administrative/coordination experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative/coordination experience; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment

  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.  
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties.  
  • Deliver presentations.  
  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices & policies in selecting methods, techniques & evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Regular managerial review of results and objectives.  
  • Use of software and computer equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse) for extended periods of time.  
  • Travel to host events.
