A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Arya Mani at the Cardiovascular Research Center at Yale University. The exciting project involves the investigation of epigenetic regulations by PRDM6 in vascular smooth muscle cells and a model of aortic aneurysm. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of molecular cloning, expression analysis in vivo and mammalian cell cultures, comprehensive ChIP-sequencing, and knowledge of histone modifications such as acetylation and methylation. Knowledge of CRISPR-Cas gene editing is a plus.
This position offers close mentorship, expecting the postdoctoral researcher to independently conduct experiments, analyze data, and actively participate in resolving experimental challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential for success in this role. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s research experience.
