Nuclear Pharmacy Technician


Department:
University Hospital | Nuclear Pharmacy

Prepare, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine department patients use. Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals according to the Department of Transportation, OSU radiation safety and nuclear pharmacy guidelines. Make deliveries to nuclear medicine units, perform general nuclear pharmacy and facility clean up. Work with nuclear medicine technologists and address questions and/or concerns. Ensure compliance with radiation safety policies, nuclear pharmacy standard operation procedures, USP<797> and <825> regulations. Perform quality assurance tests on instruments.

Minimum Education Required
HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
For Hire: High school diploma, active OH Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician registration, PTCB/NHA certification, Further qualifications defined based on departmental guidance on pharmacy technician career laddering.

Monday- Friday 8-hour shifts, rotating between 04:30 am -12:30 pm* and 05:30 am- 01:30 pm*
