Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Federal Affairs in the Office of Government and Community Affairs, manages constituent services for congressional and administrative staff.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a tracking system to monitor all legislative activity impacting Emory's mission.
  • Plans visits to Capitol Hill for Emory advocates.
  • Plans and manages campus tours and visits by elected officials and their staffs.
  • Develops and creates education material for legislators and staffers by working with offices across campus to gather and distill pertinent information.
  • Collaborates with healthcare and higher education colleague institutions and associations (AAU, NAICU, AAMC, AHA, etc.).
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree with one year of work experience, which may include internships.
  • Proficiency with various computer software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with budgeting software a plus.
  • Knowledge of Emory helpful.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
