Position Summary:

Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment used for endoscopic procedures.

Adheres to established protocols for processing endoscopes and accessories.

Documents and maintains infection control log.

Inspects endoscopes for damage and reports any malfunctioning to the NurseManager.

Orientates other staff members to proper method for high level disinfection ofscopes.

Documents orientation and competence level on appropriateform.

The Endoscopy Unit is open Monday - Friday. Closed weekends and major holidays.


Position Qualification:

Previous experience in endoscope reprocessing preferred, but not necessary

C.F.E.R Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Certification preferred, but not necessary

Detailed oriented

High School Diploma or Technical School
