The Office of Medical Education ensures curricular excellence of the Doctor of Medicine curriculum, known as Lead.Serve.Inspire. (LSI), and assist with its development, implementation, evaluation, and accreditation—the LSI curriculum integrates foundational science with early patient interaction and longitudinal clinical practice, supported by the vast resources of an academic health center. The LSI curriculum is a three-part, four-year program. The three Parts of the LSI curriculum include Part One: Clinical Foundations (Year 1-Year 2), Part Two: Clinical Application (Year 3), and Part Three: Advanced Clinical Management (Year 4).

The Education Program Specialist, Medical Education collaborates with the Associate Dean for Medical Education, the Director of Biomedical Education, and the College of Medicine Interprofessional Practice and Education Champions to provide administrative oversight of the structure, content, evaluation, enhancement, and delivery of the Interprofessional Practice, and Education and BuckIPE curricula, the adjunct faculty appointment and the educational affiliation agreement processes. Duties include but are not limited to curriculum delivery and management; adjunct faculty appointment management; educational affiliation agreement management; educational program administration; curricular committee support and management; and data tracking, analyzing, and reporting.

Minimum Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or equivalent experience.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience.  Four to eight years of relevant experience preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check.  Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical to include a drug screen.

Additional Desired Qualifications

Administrative experience overseeing educational programs and processes in undergraduate or graduate medical education, health professions, or higher education academic settings; strong interest in working in medical education or higher education administration; ability to work effectively in a large complex administrative structure, with the ability to work cross-functionally to solve routine and novel problems; adapt project manager; works collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, and faculty; excellent interpersonal and written, and verbal communication skills; works effectively independently or through other faculty, medical education staff, or teams; ability to learn new software quickly and to use technology to improve processes; detail and goal oriented; and ability to motivate self and others.
