Job Summary
 

Provide strategic and tactical leadership for Employer Relations, Marketing, and Employer Partnerships within the department of Career Planning and Development (CPD). This position oversees and supervises the following operational areas within the department: Employer Relations, Events, Marketing and Communications. Supports overall department strategic initiatives as directed by supervisor. This position serves as a hub between students, employers, faculty, staff, and alumni and works closely with all divisions on campus to effectively strategize department offerings. Consults with Executive Director regarding department relevant revenue generating budgets (Sales and Services, Foundation Employer Partnership program).


Responsibilities
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with Executive Director to review and develop policies and procedures to increase and strengthen engagement with employment communities, particularly within the Metro Atlanta region.
2. Work closely and collaboratively with Director of Career Advising and Planning to create recruiting targets for all position types
3. Guide development strategy and associated assessments related to recruiting functions on-campus and with career outreach programming, workshops, and other engagements
4. Work collaboratively with University leadership to maintain strategic partnerships in the community, creating pipelines for students in tandem with efforts of Academic Affairs and Economic Development at university and state levels
5. Work with Events and Outreach team to create calendar that guides campus partners to collaborate and plan early. Assess and report on event outcomes on a regular basis
6. Using CRM system, provide monthly reports on employer engagement activities and related outcomes. Provide other related report as requested
7. Actively engage in relevant professional organizations and committees (particularly within the University System of Georgia) and others in consultation with supervisor.


Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements
Masters' degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education in related program
Required Experience
Eight (8) years of experience in higher education or similar position or industry


Preferred Qualifications
 

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Programmatic management of educational programs spanning departments and divisions
Experience supervising and mentoring professional staff
Prior experience and ability to develop data-driven reports on employer engagement and event outcome metrics
Experience and familiarity with Career Services/Recruiting CRM systems (e.g. Handshake)


Proposed Salary
 

The budgeted salary range is $65,400 to $83,400. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of both on-campus and external constituents, including C-suite. May include presenting information to various groups
Able to maintain knowledge of Employer Relations field within Career Services, and current trends in hiring, and economic development
Desire and ability to work collaboratively with leaders across campus
Able to communicate with facility leadership to CEOs in off-campus organizations
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of data and ability to generate relevant outcome reports
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
