Position Description:

The A&S Business Center is seeking an enthusiastic, results-oriented, motivated individual to join to join our team.  They will provide effective and efficient financial and human resource support as needed in accordance with UofL policies and procedures. The Business Unit Administrator for HR & Finance will serve as a resource for A&S departments on payroll matters and perform administrative functions as necessary and serve as a liaison with other university offices including Business Operations, Payroll, and the university Human Resource office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboard GRA/GTAs
  • Assist with the Workday recruitment process as a Primary Recruiter in the hiring of staff, casual temporaries, and student assistants, working with department hiring managers.
  • Oversee and audit biweekly and monthly payroll activity and reports.
  • Oversee and manage A&S timekeeping and A&S human resources service accounts.
  • Compile and upload data for annual performance appraisals.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned departments to ensure financial transactions (revenue, expense, and payments) are correctly recorded.
  • Process required cost share and other financial transactions such as electronic transfers and journal vouchers following university policies and procedures. Serve as liaison with fiscal staff to review and process financial transactions through the A&S Business Center.
  • Serve as BA4 software entry point for transactions both for Financial and Human Resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Workday, Microsoft Office Suite, BA, and similar related software
  • Two years' experience in payroll and familiarity with UofL financial reporting systems (BI, BA4).
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
