Job Description:

The Department of Psychology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time instructor(s) to teach Introductory Psychology in the fall semester (8/15/2024 - 12/20/2024).  This course is being offered in person and on campus. Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in psychology. In addition to the course, the instructor is expected to be available to students as needed, including a minimum of one office hour held weekly on campus or remotely.  

At Bellarmine, Introductory Psychology is a survey of psychology including the history and methods of psychological science, learning and motivation, cognition and memory, biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, personality and social psychology, psychological disorders and their treatment. The course emphasizes the relation between life experiences and the scientific findings that explain those experiences. 

There are different sections of Introductory Psychology available.  The dates and times are below.  In your letter of interest please indicate which sections you are available to teach.  If you are interested in teaching multiple sections, please include this in your letter.  

Monday, Wednesday, Friday  9:00 to 9:50

Monday, Wednesday, Friday  10:00 to 10:50

Monday, Wednesday, Friday  11:00 to 11:50

Tuesday and Thursday 9:25 to 10:40

Tuesday and Thursday 12:15 to 1:30

Tuesday and Thursday 1:40 to 2:55


Requirements:

A Master's degree or Doctorate in Psychology is required and must be awarded by August, 2024.
