Job Summary: The Athletic Intern assists in the daily operations of the Athletic Department. Provides practice coverage for assigned sport. Serve as the onsite liaison for student athletes.


Additional Department Summary: Supports recruiting activities for a Division I Football program. Plans for recruiting visits. Provides tours. Provides logistical support on event days. Hosts on game days. Assists with administrative tasks. Supports compliance with NCAA regulations and effective and efficient operations to enhance the success of the overall recruiting process, camps, and clinics. Supports off-the-field recruiting activities that are permissible per NCAA or SEC regulations.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any field, OR individuals currently enrolled in college completing their undergraduate studies.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work all home football games, A-Day game, and weekends in December, January, March, and April.


Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Proficiency in the usage of personal computers and standard application software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to function independently while solving problems and making decisions. Ability to prioritize and schedule work for efficient operations.


Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of work experience with a football recruiting department.
