The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC) is one of the nation’s distinguished graduate academic health science centers, dedicated to education, research, clinical care and community engagement. HSC is composed of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Professions, School of Public Health, College of Pharmacy, and College of Nursing.

Position Summary
The Associate Vice President (AVP), Department of Strategic and Operational Transformation will be a high performing professional responsible for driving strategy development and execution for large cross-functional initiatives, including execution and transition plans for initiatives to move from strategy to implementation. This role serves as a key leader and partner to The University of North Texas Health Science Center’s Executive Team and other senior leaders across the organization to develop and execute transformation strategies for the university.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • 8 years of healthcare, strategic and project management, leadership, healthcare operations, or process improvement experience.
  • Proven track record as a strategic senior leader in rapidly evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated experience/success in leadership, strategic planning, process improvement, and operations.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and develop executive-level presentations
  • Experience serving as a change catalyst capable of aligning strategy, people, process, and technology
  • Ability to understand the big picture and connect the efforts across multiple areas; comfortable in navigating within ambiguous circumstances.
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication at an executive leadership level
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations within higher education.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills and strong proficiency in effectively putting together presentations and stories depending on the audience and initiative.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analytics skills and analysis background.
