Pay Range | The compensation for this appointment will range from $66,560 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this staff appointment. Position Summary Information
Summary | Administer a comprehensive sports medicine program for intercollegiate sports; sport assignments to be determined by Asst AD Sports Medicine. The Athletic Trainer will also perform professional and administrative services as assigned (continuing education/injury tracking, policies & procedures/inventory, insurance claims/athletic training student scheduling etc.) essential for the successful implementation and development of the program. |

Supervisory Responsibilities | This position could be responsible to be an Approved Clinical Instructor to Athletic Training students in an Entry Level Master’s Program. |

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and sit. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. |
Education and/or Experience | Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college or university; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education. Master’s degree preferred. Certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC); Familiarity with NCAA governing rules. |
