What We Are Looking For

The Department of Human Sciences and Design at Baylor University is seeking an Administrative Associate to oversee the daily operations of our office and provide essential support to our faculty, students, and staff. This position will maintain office efficiency and support Baylor's mission in everyday activities. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment and exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.

A High School Diploma, two years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. An Associate's Degree and three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

What You Will Do: 

  • Efficiently manage the day-to-day activities of the office and ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide administrative support for HSD faculty and staff 
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership, staff, and faculty to support scheduling and classroom allocation.
  • Maintain office files and records.
  • Coordinate departmental events, ensuring effective organization from initial concept to successful execution.
  • Support departmental marketing efforts by collecting impactful stories and collaborating with the College marketing team to showcase departmental achievements and news.
  • Manage departmental social media accounts and create content for posts.
  • Maintain office supply needs 
  • Coordinate student workers.
  • Uphold and promote a professional environment, demonstrating a commitment to Baylor's mission.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies 
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
