Job Summary

Applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to
address a variety of policy, research and procedural issues. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data
and information, finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.

This position serves as the Administrative and Program Coordinator for the Alternative Provision of Medication
Abortion Project led by Dr. Daniel Grossman, the Director of Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health
(ANSIRH). This position will provide comprehensive support to Dr. Grossman and the Project Director (PD), and
will apply professional concepts and conduct analytical studies to coordinate the needs of the Director and PD
including needs associated with complex correspondence, travel, academic work, manuscript preparation and
submission, and mentorship. The Coordinator will be responsible for project and administrative activities and will
fully analyze issues and problems, gather data and information, find and evaluate alternatives, in order to make
sound recommendations regarding processes for handling confidential and sensitive information; editing
proposals, presentations and reports; and managing complex scheduling and travel. The Coordinator will facilitate communication with committees and boards within ANSIRH, the OB/GYN Department, the School of Medicine, as well as outside organizations. The Administrative and Program Coordinator will regularly liaise with representatives from other organizations and assist with moving projects and policies forward as directed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting or coordinating multiple projects or supporting a busy PI or other Executive
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality
  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with
  • strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques
  • Proficient in MS Outlook Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executivemeetings.
  • Comfort with sensitive topics such as abortion, contraception, and pregnancy. Required
  • Ability to process and prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities. Required
  • Proficiency with Endnote. Required
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow through independently on projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a clinical or University setting
  • Experience arranging and managing complex travel
  • Knowledge of the fields of reproductive health, rights or justice
  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computerapplication programs
