Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an Entry Level IT Analyst to join Applications, Development, and Integrations (ADI), a unit within UFIT.

ADI maintains and operates the software that powers UF’s enterprise-wide computer systems, creating the technological foundation for the campus’ academic and administrative business functions. ADI is looking for skilled team members who enjoy using their creative talents to produce business solutions that address the needs of and create efficiencies for UF's core business offices.

The Entry Level IT Analyst serves as a point of contact for business customers and Business Relationship Managers to provide day-to-day support for the University’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related systems.  Applications, Development, and Integrations (ADI) a unit within UFIT is looking for a skilled team member who enjoys using their creative talents to produce business solutions which address the needs of, and create efficiencies for, core business offices at UF.  The successful applicant possesses application and functional expertise in the content, processes, and procedures for the business unit(s) and the business processes associated with ERP.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Supports, maintains and administers the functional side of the core Finance functions within the ERP and related systems by providing system support and analysis to ensure operational standards are met.
  • Provides application support in a 24/7 environment.
  • Assists in crafting short and long-term business solutions for complex system problems.
  • Assists in impact analysis of enhancements, upgrades, and other system changes, including Quality Control (testing) and Change Management life cycle.
  • Assists in configuration settings, maintenance, and functional documentation.

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status, and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$52,500 – $55,500; commensurate based on education and experience. 

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Operational Functions: Knowledge of the core Finance and Supply Chain Management functional processes and the ability to apply this knowledge to diverse situations.
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of Oracle SQL, PeopleSoft 9.2 FSCM, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Core Application Systems: The ability to work within an ERP and related systems to evaluate, explain, integrate, enhance, and implement features.
  • Managing multiple priorities: The ability to manage concurrent activities and make effective judgments about prioritization and time allocation.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools to promote effective analysis, determine the root cause, and create alternative solutions to resolve problems.
