About the Role

The Strategic Partnerships Officer is a newly created role which supports two key areas of the Policy and Strategic Partnerships Portfolio – the Centre for Arts, Culture and Creative Collaboration, and the Civic University Agreement. The main focus of the 6 months FTC is to create a communications strategy across both teams, sharing news about the many projects run in partnership with local creative and community organisations. Through writing newsletters and website articles and creating content for social media, the post holder will play a vital role in keeping people updated and engaged. They will also support the Arts and Culture Manager and Civic Engagement Lead with administrative tasks including finance, room booking and event planning, and maintain contacts with a wide range of QM staff and external partners.

About the Department

The Strategic Partnerships team is centrally located and reports to Philippa Lloyd who is Vice Principal for Policy and Strategic Partnerships. The Centre for Arts, Culture and Creative Collaboratio n team brings together artists, academics and cultural organisations to collaborate and make change. Queen Mary’s Civic University Agreement was launched in 2022 and supports the delivery of our institutional Strategy 2030. The Agreement outlines a series of commitments that Queen Mary will make in, with and for East London

About You

We are looking for an individual who is seeking a new challenge, excited to support partnerships between local creative and community organisations and the university. You will have great writing skills and enjoy creating content for newsletters, websites and social media. Attention to detail and the ability to work across a wide range of projects is a must. This role is suited to someone who is keen to support the building of positive partnerships with East London organisations and communities.
