Join our dedicated team of Postgraduate Admissions Systems Support Officers at the University of Bristol.
As a member of this team, you’ll provide first-line technical support to our Postgraduate applicants, their agents, and referees throughout the application process.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills by assisting with admissions annual renewal, data analysis, and system maintenance activities.

- Provide helpdesk support of a technical nature, dealing with a variety of applicant queries
- Proactively prioritise tasks and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Respond to complaints and escalated issues, and resolve problems involving applicants, agents and other schools/departments.
- Participate in team-based projects or development activities to improve departmental service provision and other opportunities for Continuous Improvement within the admissions process/ team.
- Contribute to delivering an excellent applicant experience.

You have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills, including spreadsheets, advanced word processing, databases, email & the internet.
- Experience of using databases to store, manipulate and retrieve information.
- Experience of creating and using spreadsheets to log, monitor and analyse data of admissions processing.
- Experience of providing a sensitive, customer focused service.
- Experience of taking ownership of problems, using initiative and judgement to develop appropriate solutions.
- Experience of assessing and responding to non-routine work and situations.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own work and cope under pressure.
- Experience of working in a multi-tasking role.
- Ability to work accurately and quickly to strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with colleagues with a wide variety of professional backgrounds and of varying degrees of seniority.
- Availability to work during August.
