We are currently recruiting for a Research Manager on a fixed-term basis for 10 months.
The Research Manager leads a small research support team, based within Faculty Services, of two Research Facilitators and a Research Communications/Impact Support Officer. S/he has oversight of the work of the team in providing high quality responsive support for the School’s research activities and takes responsibility for complex research contracts and related matters, working closely with colleagues in other areas of the School and central University. S/he is also responsible for managing complex research contract negotiations and new funding models, which involves working closely with faculty, sponsors, other parts of the School and central University teams.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of research administration and of managing a small team. You will have strong analytical skills and will be adaptable with the ability to shape the role and the research support team as required in response to changes in the School’s research portfolio and strategy and the external funding environment. You will report to the School’s Director of Faculty Services and will represent the School’s research operations within the wider University.
The post is offered of a full-time or part-time basis (part-time considered at a minimum of 0.6 FTE).
