You will hold a relevant undergraduate degree with QTS, or PGCE (QTS) with a track record of successful English teaching in a Primary school and a second subject specialism, along with experience at teaching undergraduate level and above - or delivering equivalent relevant professional training and development. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to operate effectively in a demanding environment, which has both academic and professional practice requirements and compliance demands, including internal and external auditing and inspection.

You will lead the subject specialist curriculum provision for our Primary student teachers, contribute to generic aspects of the ITE programmes and supervise practice-based learning across a number of schools within our partnership.

This is your opportunity to be a key contributor to providing a high quality, exceptional and transformative educational experience for new teachers, and to be part of our continued development.

In return, you will be joining our vibrant School and Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, at a pivotal moment of diversification and opportunities. We are a passionate and committed community of academics and professional support staff, and this makes the School of Education at LJMU a special place to work and thrive.

We offer an excellent benefits package including generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, induction and development support as well as family-friendly policies.

This is an exciting time to join the university as we deliver the LJMU Strategy 2030 and its vision of LJMU as an inclusive civic university transforming lives and futures, by placing students at the heart of everything we do.

If you feel that this is the role you have been looking for and your skills and experience can make a real difference at LJMU, we look forward to hearing from you.
