Canterbury Christ Church University are looking for a proactive solutions-focused manager, with experience of delivering impactful administration services, to join the Registry Services department.

The role ensures a high standard assessment and examinations services are delivered across the University in compliance with academic regulations.

Key priorities for the role holder will be to utilise their knowledge and experience to identify and facilitate process improvements, train and develop staff, and participate in systems developments to further enhance the student and staff experience. The role will work with key business areas to input and advise on utilising the student records system (SITS) to support assessment and award processes.

The Role:

The role manages the day-to-day operational delivery of assessment processes; ensuring business-critical activities are delivered to agreed timescales, with high levels of data accuracy, and in accordance with academic regulations.

The Assessment Manager will regularly review the effectiveness of assessment processes (including board of examiner administration, results release, examinations delivery), as well as establishing new systems and processes for delivery in collaboration with stakeholders across the University. 

The role holder will lead and manage a team and will deliver training to staff based within Faculties.

The Person 

We are looking for a confident and experienced Higher Education manager with excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills, and experience of delivering complex administration services with tangible benefits. You will have proficiency in developing, applying and evaluating procedures for maximum efficiency. You will have experience of coordinating large-scale activities, using complex IT systems, and effectively engaging with stakeholders; to ensure services are fit for purpose.

Your commitment to customer service and continuous improvement will enable you to lead your team to consistently deliver the highest standard of service in a changing environment.

How will I work?

Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders.

It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
