Digital & Technology Services - Physical Environment Team
Location: Kings Meadow Campus
Salary: £28,152 to £34,500 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are pleased to share details of a fixed term full-time opportunity for an experienced networks or IT support analyst to join our dedicated IT Operations team in Digital & Technology Services.
As an IT Operations Network Analyst, you will work alongside an established IT Operations team, supporting both fixed and wireless networks, as well as other aspects of the physical environment of our UK campuses, and will assist with the installation, configuration, monitoring and administration of these technologies.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Physical Environment Team to support both maintenance and change activities on the physical network infrastructure, as well as assisting in the troubleshooting of wireless coverage and performance issues. You will have the opportunity to develop your experience around fixed and wireless networking in a dynamic and busy environment.
You will have experience in delivering and/or supporting IT services within a multi-technology network environment. You will have some experience in the installation and configuring of network equipment, as well as dealing with wireless coverage and performance issues. Ideally, you will have a grounding in network fundamentals, including network port configuration.

As the successful candidate, you will have a degree or equivalent in an IT-related subject or equivalent relevant experience of working in a structured IT environment, excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This post is available on a fixed term basis for 1 year 6 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
