Boathouse Facilities Assistant (Part Time)

£22,980 to £26,189 per annum pro-rata (depending on skills and experience)
15 hours per week (3 x 5 hour shifts to include Mondays and Fridays)

We are seeking to recruit a Boathouse Facilities Assistant to work at the Combined Colleges Boathouse.

The combined Colleges Boathouse is shared by 3 Colleges and a School, there are also private boats raked in the bays. (Churchill. Kings, Selwyn and the Ley's School). Each club has its own boat bay and a May Room. The Boathouse contains around 100 boats from singles, doubles, fours and eights. The building was purpose built around 8 years ago and has a large workshop, large erg room, visitor changing room, toilets, snack kitchen and an office. The grounds are mainly car parking, grass with a couple of trees and a hedge.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Combined Colleges Boathouse, which includes the grounds on Logan's Way, and the boathouse building. This will involve cleaning all areas to a high standard and carrying out grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing and general gardening to keep the grounds in good order.

You will carry out basic boat maintenance task as directed by the Boathouse Supervisor and assist users with adjustments and minor repairs to their boats. You will also help to maintain the gym equipment.

You will have experience of gardening and using mowers and hedge cutters along with cleaning experience.
Basic boat maintenance skills are required and knowledge and experience of rowing is desirable.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
