Skills/Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in the field of biological sciences, forestry or related disciplines;
  • Knowledge and publications in the field of biology and ecology of woody plants and forest ecosystems, consistent with the research carried out at the Department of Biogeography and Systematics, with particular emphasis on physiology, molecular biology and ecology;
  • Broad experience in laboratory and field studies;
  • Scientific achievements including at least 10 publications published in journals indexed by Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science) with a total IF2-year at least 15, including at least three published papers as a leading author (first author);
  • Experience as a Principal Investigator in at least one scientific or research-development grants;
  • Proficiency in English (speaking and writing);
  • An additional advantage will be having an abroad internship or internship in a research institution in Poland;
  • Readiness to participate in scientific expeditions and training (in Poland and abroad);
  • Aptitude for scientific research and teaching as an assistant professor;
  • Submitting a declaration that after employment the employee agree to be included in the number of employees conducting scientific activity at the Institute of Dendrology PAS, in accordance with art. 265 paragraph 5 of the law on higher education and science;
  • Submitting a declaration that after employment, the Institute of Dendrology PAS will be the place of primary employment.
