RECTOR OF THE SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY  announces the competition for the position of assistant in the group of research and teaching employees in the Department of Applied Linguistics  at the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, 2A Akademicka St.

Job description:
1) the competition for the position of assistant is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and the Statute of the Silesian University of Technology of 3 June, 2019 (Legal Monitor of SUT of 2020, item 339 as amended),
2) estimated work commencement date: 01.10.2024,
3) workplace and type of contract: Department of Applied Linguistics  at the Faculty of Organization and Management, full-time employment contract,
4) period of employment: from 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2025 (with the possibility of extension)

Requirements:
1) master's degree in Spanish linguistics,
2) predisposition to work as a research and teaching assistant, confirmed by the opinion of the supervisor or thesis supervisor,
3) participation in thematic conferences or symposia.

Additional requirements:
1) experience of teaching in Spanish,
2) professional experience in the wider business or industry will be an added advantage,
3) knowledge of the English language.

2) professional curriculum vitae and information on academic, teaching and organisational achievements, specifying plans for further teaching development,
3) copies of diplomas,
4) the candidate's statement that the Silesian University of Technology will be his/her main place of work,
5) opinion of an academic teacher – research supervisor or master’s thesis supervisor – regarding the candidate’s predispositions to work as a research and teaching employee.
