The role/Te mahi

As a sheetmetal fabricator / installer within the Mechanical Engineering department, you will work closely with other team members to help deliver high-quality mechanical, engineering, HVAC work on a wide variety of buildings and spaces across the University campus.

You will work closely with the Trades Services team to manufacture and install HVAC ducting from onsite measurements, and mechanical drawings / specifications.

Ideally you will have previous experience in the construction industry in a similar role and environment.

Successful candidates will also:
•    Be physically fit and able to complete manual work.
•    Have strong communication and written skills.
•    Be cooperative, with a positive attitude to work and a desire to learn more.
•    Have experience in health and safety best practice.

This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) position based in Dunedin.

The appointment range for this position is ($66,639 to $80,190 per annum). The salary listed is the base rate - Overtime Rates, Tool Allowance, and Merit Band progression available.
